The Phytostrip, a novel seedling growth device has been developed together with the University of Lancaster for the specific application of plant phenotyping.
It features an 8 well strip with open bottomed wells and flattened polished sides for easy visualization of the well content. The distance between the wells is the same as 96 well PCR plates and the outer dimensions are compatible with the use of SBS footprint microplates and reservoirs for support or incubation.
Featuring PP wells on a PC frame and cut corner at A1, these plates have a working volume of 30µl and a total well capacity of 55µl.
This ultimate cost saving plate design is perfect for smaller experiments whilst still allowing for low reaction volumes, saving you money on reagents and reducing wastage of empty, unneeded wells.

4titude®’s new Low Binding plates are made of selected low bind polymers, no coating is used to achieve the binding characteristics. The plates are tested under a broad temperature range to show maximum DNA recovery after low temperature storage and high temperature incubation. They are ideally suited for sensitive applications with ultra-low DNA input such as NGS sample preparation and library construction as no DNA gets lost during incubation steps and sample transfer.

This plate has a unique shape of the well bottom with a very flat central part. The pyramid shape allows for a lower dead volume when used in automation. Centrifugation leads to a pellet in the central part of the well rather than a corner.
We are offering the plate in clear, black and white polystyrene suitable for a wide range of applications including imaging, fluorescence and luminescence assays.
4titude®'s Thermal Test Film (TTF) can be used in conjunction with a roll fed (e.g. a4S Automatic Roll Heat Sealer) or sheet fed (e.g. 4s3 Semi-Automatic Sheet Heat Sealer) heat sealer to check the uniformity and reproducibility of the heat sealing block of the instrument. The film can be used to effectively test the temperature of the heating block between 160 – 200°C.
The excellent tensile strength of this seal enables its use for sealing of microplates during homogenisation or disruption of seeds or other material such as bead mill applications. Clear Seal Plus forms a complete seal to a plate also enabling short term sample storage.
This strong adhesive seal was developed to facilitate easy sample removal with a manual or automated system. The seal is made from a teflon film and a red adhesive applied across the underside of the seal, except for 384 windows which align to the 384 wells of a plate. The optical windows are cross-cut, allowing for easy access to the sample wells with a tip or probe with minimal pressure.
The 4titude® TubeMarker™ allows you to print directly to the surface of tubes from 0.5 ml to 50 ml. There is no need for using labels or marker pens. Marking is resistant to alcohol, water, methanol, pure haematoxylin, liquid nitrogen, and mechanical abrasion.
These 96 deep well storage microplates are especially designed for use with magnetic separators for bead separation protocols. Due to the special shape of the stacking ribs, the plate sits much lower on the magnetic separator than standard round well plates thus facilitating the speed and efficiency of the separation process.
The two latest additions to this product range are designed for use with our FrameStar® 96-Well Skirted Robotic PCR Plate (with rigid skirt) for NGS applications, and our FrameStar® 96-Well Semi-Skirted PCR and qPCR Plates.

These new 0.1ml PCR tubes and caps are especially suited for use with Qiagen/Corbett Rotor-Gene® instruments.
The tubes and caps are moulded from virgin polypropylene to prevent any PCR background signal, and frosted cap extensions allow for easy handling and labelling.
